E-book sales are expected toclose one billion of dollars in the United States this year and totriple by 2015. The United States the total expenditure onelectronic books is expected to $966 million, an increase of $301million from last year, and in 2015 reached $2.81billion.

We found that 35 percent read e-books on a laptop computer, 32percent on Amazon's Kindle, 15 percent on Apple's iPhone, 12percent on a Sony e-reader and 10 percent on a netbookcomputer.

Nine percent said they use a Nook e-reader from Barnes andNoble, nine percent said they use Apple's iPad, eight percent saidthey use some other e-reader and six percent said they use acellphone other than the iPhone.
