Today, Acer announced a threesome of stylish, ultra-thin LEDmonitors which boast impressive 5ms response times, 250 cd/m2brightness, and more than 160,000 colors. 20,21.5 and 23-inchdisplay in a range from only 0.51 to 0.59 inches thick, alsobenefited from 12,000,000:1 contrast as Acer's Adaptive ContrastManagement technology which allows precise frame by frameadjustment, should it be needed. S1 series has a green check-boxwith low-power credentials and manufacturing processes, the companysaid that do not use hazardous materialsecurity.

Only 20-inch model doesnot support the full 1080p high-definition screen resolution, butall come in movie-friendly 16:9 aspect and sport both VGA and DVIconnections are with 23-inch model adding an HDMIinterface.

The range's white LEDbacklight that series to help towards 68 per cent power savings forthe end user and RoHS and ENERGY STAR 5.0 compliance is assuredthanks to the lack of hazardous substances such as mercury orhalogen gases. Even the packaging material are made from highlyrecyclable packaging materials.
