Global LCD TV OEMrevenue in 2010 will increase to $75.5 billion, up 5 percent or$3.6 billion, from $71.95 billion in 2009, the largest dollarincrease of any consumer electronics segment for the year, iSupplisaid.
Digital set-top boxes, its OEMrevenues will increase to $18.2 billion in 2010, up $1.9 billion -or 11.6 percent - from $16.3 billion in 2009, representing thefuture of the biggest growth areas.
"Strong sales of premium boxes will propel revenue growth inthe digital set-top box market" Selburn said. "Consumers snapped uphigh-level set-top boxes to support advanced, such ashigh-definition and digital video recording capabilities."
iSuppli said that sales were especially strong in the AsiaPacific region due to the continued expansion of digitalinfrastructure.
From a global OEMdevice revenue, such as washing machines, microwave ovens,refrigerators, is expected to rise to $76.99 billion in 2010, up2.1 percentage points, or $1.9 billion, from $75.4 billion in2009-making it the third largest dollar growth area for theyear.
Digital set-top boxes, its OEMrevenues will increase to -2010 years, 1.9 billion U.S.dollars - 11.6% - 16.3 U.S. dollars in 2009, representing thefuture of the biggest growth areas.
Other categories of income growth is expected to include DVDvideo player, PMP/MP3 players, digital photo frame and hand-heldvideo games.
At the same time, in contrast to the gains being made in theLCD TV market, global OEMrevenue from plasma television is expected to contract by $3billion in 2010, iSuppli said. Plasma television revenue is set todecline to $9.2 billion in 2010, down 24.9 percent from $12.2billion in 2009.
