3Q PC Shipments

Worldwide PC shipments more than 88.3 million units in thethird quarter of 2010, compared with the third quarter of 2009increased by 7.6%. Gartner had forecast third-quarter PC shipmentsgrew 12.7%.

HP remains the world's highest position (see Table 1), but ithas gone through a quarter of a slight decline in shipments. HP hasexperienced in the Asia / Pacific, shipments were down 20%, thecompany will profit in the region a higher priority.

Acer experienced a 1.7 % decline in third-quarter shipments.Dell showed a steady growth in most regions. Overall, Dellbenefited from the professional PC market refresh, but NorthAmerica showed disappointing results. Lenovo shows the strongestgrowth among the top five vendors in the world's. Professional PCmarket, Lenovo boost growth in the U.S. and EMEA.

In the United States, PC shipments exceeded 17.6 million unitsin the third quarter of 2010, compared with 2009 third quarterincreased 2.2 percentage points.
