Integration of the global mobiledevice market growth (often referred to as smart phones) more thandoubled that of the overall mobile phone market in the firstquarter, there are indications that some of the high-growth mode.According to International Data Corporation (IDC) of the globalmobile phone tracking quarterly survey, suppliers shipped 54.7million units in the first quarter of 2010 (Q1 2010), an increaseof 56.7%from the same quarter a year ago. In contrast, the entiremobile phone market grew 21.7%. Converged mobile devices accountedfor 18.8% of all mobile phones shipped in 1Q10, rose 14.4% in thefirst quarter of 2009.
 
The smart phone market growth is impressive when compared tothe 38% growth in the fourth quarter, which is usually thestrongest this year. This shows that the market has enormouspotential and the depths to which it plunged in the first quarterof last year.
