Texas Instruments Inc (TI) (NYSE: TXN) introduced today a new200-mA dual-output power supply designed to provide active matrixOLED (AMOLED) displays. The TPS65137 low dropout (LDO) RegulatorAfter the device line and load transient minimum output voltageripple response regulator, in order to provide a stable imagequality. With its wide input range of 2.3 V-5.5 V and 3 mm × 3 mmQFN package and the small number of external components smallsolution size, the TPS65137 is suited for AMOLED displays inportable devices, such as mobile phones and smartphones.
Its characteristics:
• Wide input voltage range of 2.3 to 5.5 V allows the deviceto accept the positive output voltage is higher than the inputvoltage, and still maintain a 1% accurate output of the positiveoutput voltage.
• LDO's output after the line and load regulation to provide apositive minimum output voltage ripple of the transient response,in order to provide a stable image quality.
• Advanced audio power outside the control of lower switchingfrequency of the load current decreases, and maintain the highefficiency of the entire load current range of audible noisemodel.
• Programmable digital negative output voltage from -2.2 V to-4.9 V the number of steps.
